Born in 1923 in order to house one of the most important art andarchitecture exhibitions in theworld, today it still exists, thanks to foundation which organizes temporary exhibitions for several artistic forms. It is held in the Art Palace. On the ground floor you’ll find the Triennial Gallery, 1500 square meters of exhibition halls, used to organize temporary exhibitions, designed by the architect Gae Aulenti. In 2005 the Project Library has been opened in order to keep and preserve thousands of books, pictures, original drawings, prints, audio files and films, always available and free for reference.
